Coverage in the Dunkirk Observer includes a review of construction status and a summary of the target markets, which include startup firms associated with SUNY Fredonia alumni or faculty and companies in other sectors such as advanced manufacturing, energy and environment, and agricultural business and technology.
RPI Incubator Program adds 3 new resident tenants and 5 new virtual ones
Submitted by admin on Sun, 2008-12-07 16:34.Our supporting member the RPI Incubator Program has announced the intake of several exciting new tenants. Those resident full-time at the Troy facility are AllForLocal, an open-source inventory system for independent local businesses; Bearing Sciences, Inc., a provider of trouble-shooting services for large capital equipment; and iCoDE Systems, LLC, a consulting and systems integration firm based on technology funded by U.S. DOD.
The virtual or nonresident tenants now affiliated with the RPI Incubator Program are: Acacian Emergency Systems, a developer of wireless services for emergency medical personnel; ActiSku V2, a developer of a 3D virtual retail store that allows rapid testing of new marketing concepts; HPC Project, a turnkey provider of solutions involving intensive computational power; Grimes Hydrogen Services, a developer of ECR hydrogen generators; and Magnifire Technologies, LLC, a developer of energy systems for electric vehicles.
Two of the virtual tenants — ActiSku V2 and HPC Project — are French companies whose participation in the RPI Incubator Program comes as a result of the incubator's ground-breaking partnership with the Montpellier Agglomération Business and Innovation Center, which is part of a network of research parks and innovation centers in the Montpellier region of southern France.
