Mission statement. The purposes of BIA/NYS, Inc., are:
  • to expand the resources available to start-up companies and to work with policy-makers on matters affecting the growth and development of incubator-based enterprises;
  • to promote through cooperation and on a broadly integrative basis the educational and entrepreneurial activities of incubators within the state; and
  • to establish a structure and ongoing process to network business incubators, incubating/incubated companies, and other interested parties.

Syracuse Tech Garden re-launches its website

Our supporting member the Syracuse Technology Garden has relaunched its website. Please visit http://www.thetechgarden.com for a look at this handsome and modern site, which includes not only a complete set of information on the incubator itself, but also links to a wide variety of resources for entrepreneurs. Syracuse Tech Garden to partner on defense-technology commercialization program

Our member the Syracuse Technology Garden will partner with a Florida agency on a $1.4 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense to prepare defense-technology companies in both states to commercialize new technologies.

WIC tenant BullEx announces Coast Guard is using its fire-training simulator

BullEx Digital Safety, a Troy-based client of our member incubator the Watervliet Innovation Center, recently announced delivery of a 30-foot, four-compartment, live-fire training simulator to the U.S. Coast Guard training center in Cape May, N.J. The WIC provides a platform of shared and customized servcies to companies in the homeland security, national security, and defense-technology markets.
